UM/UMMC Research Day

NEW Date to save: UM/UMMC Research Day 4/26/19 – Oxford
The fifth annual UM/UMMC Research Day will be held Friday, April 26th, 2019 at the Jackson Avenue Center (JAC), in Oxford, MS.
ORSP will post a UM Today message in March with instructions for registration and abstract submissions. The schedule is to be determined, but past research days have run from 10am to 3pm and featured 3 minute lectures by faculty/researchers, a poster session for faculty and students, speed networking sessions, lunch, and one or more keynote addresses.
Program Development Specialists
- Identify the specialist who is your research advocate and develop a relationship early in your research career.
Integrity & Compliance
- Responsible conduct of research, including online CITI training and NIH-specific requirements.
Conducting Research with Human Subjects
- Frequently required research certifications for human subjects.
Student Consumer Information Disclosures
- The Higher Education Opportunity Act of 2008 requires that universities make available to current and prospective students important information concerning each institution’s academic programs, retention rates, graduation rates, crime reports, financial aid procedures and much more in an effort to ensure fairness and transparency for all higher education consumers.
