Program Bachelor of Arts in Sport and Recreation Administration (BASRA) with a Minor in Recreational Therapy (mRT).
Program Certification Outcomes The Bachelor of Arts in Sport and Recreation Administration (BASRA) is accredited by the Council for Accreditation of Parks, Recreation, Tourism and Related Professions (COAPRT).   Students that major in SRA and minor in Recreational Therapy, while also completing PSY 311, PSY 301, BISC 206, and a 560 hour internship supervised by CTRS will be eligible to take the Certified Recreation Therapy Specialist Certification examination.  The professional certification is a prerequisite for licensure in specific states only; states requiring licensure are NC, UT, OK, NH, and the District of Columbia. Compliance with state regulatory requirements along with the CTRS certification is mandatory, and the avenue towards legal practice in these locations.
Program Regulated by state licensure / certification boards The Major in SRA with a minor in RT program meets the educational requirements for North Carolina, Utah, Oklahoma, New Hampshire, and the District of Columbia once the student also takes PSY 311, PSY 301, BISC 206, and completes a 560 hour internship under the supervision of CTRS.As of this revision date, the other US states and territories do not require professional licenses in this field.
