Heather Landry Shirley, PhD, ATC, BCTMB/LMT, currently serves as Assistant Professor and Program Director of Athletic Training, as well as the Executive Associate Director of the Center for Health & Sports Performance. Dr. Shirley previously served as a clinical athletic trainer for the University of Mississippi for nearly 19 years. Her current research interests are athletic training education and sport-related concussion/MTBI in both collegiate and youth sports.

Corbit Franks, PhD, ATC, CES, currently serves as Assistant Professor and Clinical Education Coordinator of Athletic Training. Dr. Franks previously served as an Athletic Trainer for the University of Mississippi Athletics Department for 10 years. His current research interests focus on the use of player monitoring & technology as well as nutrition & hydration in injury prevention.
