ASL 111: Intensive Elem American Sign Language(6 hrs) 

This course will develop elementary proficiency in ASL, including conversational skills, linguistic principles, and cultural information about the deaf community.

NHM 311: Nutrition (3hrs)

Fundamental principles of human nutrition; application to needs of individuals and families at all stages of the life cycle.

NHM 381: Bar and Beverage Operations  View (3hrs)

Learn the ins and outs of operating a bar and beverage service, including the legal and social responsibilities of serving alcoholic beverages. (Non-Majors need to request permission to add for summer!)

NHM 443: Family Financial Management, 100% Online. (3hrs)

Learn to master your money with this General Elective for all majors on campus. Start NOW using money skills that will last a lifetime! See attached PDF for more details. (Sophomores need to request permission to add! Prerequisite: Junior Standing.)

SW 315: Introduction to Social Work (3hr) 

A survey of the major areas of social work practice and it’s theoretical and ethical underpinnings.  (100% web-based Prerequisites: SOC 101 and PSY 201

SW 321: Human Behavior in the Social Environment I (3hrs)

Exploring the dynamic interplay between human development and the environment.  Examining theories about personality, biology, family, communities and society.  Everything from psychosocial development to social change all from a social work perspective. (100% web-based. Prerequisites: SOC 101, PSY 201, and Human Biology)

SW 330: Human Diversity in Social Work (3hrs) 

Looking at all things human difference. Deconstructing race, gender, class, sexual orientation and identity, ethnicity, religious affiliation, and age; all to better grasp how we have come to be a divided society based on these group categories.  (100% web-based and No prerequisites)

HP 191-Personal and Community Health (3hrs)

A comprehensive health course, including principles and practices of healthful living for the individual and community; major health problems; responsibilities of home, school, health agencies.

HP 203-First Aid and CPR (3hrs)

Safety instruction and practices in the methods as prescribed in the American Red Cross standard and advanced courses.
